The Hospice & Palliative Care Association of Iowa (HPCAI) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Hospice Education Network (HEN) and the opportunity for hospice members to sign up for two complimentary programs from HEN’s extensive library of hospice-specific streaming video courses.

The Hospice Education Network, owned and operated by Weatherbee Resources, Inc., is a comprehensive, innovative service for hospice programs that offers staff orientation programs, annual in-services, volunteer training, and specialized learning modules to address the educational needs of hospice programs of all sizes. A unique feature of HEN is that a hospice’s subscription includes unlimited 24/7 access for ALL of the hospice’s staff and volunteers. In addition, many HEN programs provide nursing and/or social worker CEs at no additional charge.

Through HPCAI’s partnership with HEN, all members may register for a two-month subscription to two HEN courses at no charge. This is a unique opportunity for hospices in Iowa to provide their staff and volunteers access to courses presented by nationally-recognized experts in hospice and end-of-life care. The Hospice & Palliative Care Association of Iowa and the Hospice Education Network are committed to providing hospices with the highest quality online educational programming available.

How to Access Your Complimentary HEN Courses

1. Click here to download and print the HPCAI / HEN Order form.

2. Choose two courses from the selection listed on the order form.

3. Designate a “HEN Administrator” and complete the order form and fax or mail it to HEN.

4. The HEN Administrator you designate will receive an email with login instructions. This login will enable the HEN Administrator to enter all employees and volunteers, providing them with access to the two selected programs, as well as other administrative reporting tools. Employee upload information can also be completed by the HEN staff saving you time. Let us know if you’d like to take advantage of this service at no charge by emailing support@hospiceonline.com

5. Remember, your complimentary subscription expires 2 months after you sign up for this offer.
