HPCAI Advocacy

Advocacy

As the only association dedicated solely to this segment of the health care industry, HPCAI positions itself as the voice of hospice care in the state of Iowa. HPCAI advocates all year on behalf of our members and works with legislators and state agencies, including the governor’s office, Congress, the White House and various state and federal agencies to strengthen policy for hospice and palliative care agencies to make sure hospice care has a voice in government.

Be An Advocate

Hospice and palliative care advocates help keep health care a top priority with state and federal legislators. It’s easy to become an Iowa hospital grassroots advocate. HPCAI will often reach out to members through email and newsletters asking them to contact their Congressmen and legislators. Take a look at the information and give it serious consideration. Additionally, the HPCAI Update provides timely legislative news and insight about issues affecting access to high-quality, safe and affordable care and to celebrate those who work all day, every day to provide that care.
